Life Coaching is compatible with my personal belief that people generally want to live their best life, live their own life, and live it on their own terms.
As a registered nurse, educator, hospital volunteer director and hospital patient advocate, I have spent my life working with individuals and families on issues related to change, coping, adapting and living as full and meaningful a life as possible.
After a number of years as a senior psychiatric nurse also certified in geriatric nursing, I started my own educational consulting business which I conducted and grew for 25 years. My clients were hospitals and long-term care facilities in all the boroughs of New York City.
I was motivated to do this because I found the missing ingredient in health care was a passion for caring…not only for the patient but, as important, about the patient – their needs, their feelings, their fears and their hopes. I wanted to make a difference by teaching the “art of connecting” through empathy, communication, body language and being a focused presence in the patient’s life – all necessary to meet their emotional, cultural and spiritual needs.
Through first-hand experience, I know how collaborating with frustrated caregivers and those struggling to get back into life has changed their outcome beyond what they ever thought possible. The best investment you can make is in yourself.
Change is born out of desire, openness, determination and grit. Going it alone or suffering in silence is not the solution. Say “Yes, I’m ready to take a chance and make a change.” Call me. Let’s set up your FREE Discovery Consultation.
